How this site is built
Simple, reproducible architecture showing the same stack I use in client work.
Data layer
PostgreSQL stores branches/commits for skills plus project timeline entries. Schema is versioned and seeded via SQL for repeatable deploys.
Frontend
Vanilla JS fetches the API, renders Mermaid graphs (git graph + mindmap), and builds a timeline UI. The scrollable mindmap combines Mermaid SVG output with svg-pan-zoom for smooth zoom, pan, and reset controls. No frameworks, just fast static assets.
Deployment
Deployment uses Gitlab CI/CD pipeline and Gitlab-runners. The application is containerized for CI/CD and reverse-proxied by Caddy, ensuring smooth deployment and scalability.
